Utility Audit and Cost Recovery Proposal (Telecoms, Electricity, Water, Effluent)

CAA Solutions (Pty) Ltd (CAAS) is a specialist consulting firm focused on providing solutions to cut costs, recover overpayments and improve efficiencies across all Utilities such as Telecoms, Electricity, Water, and Effluent.

Experience shows that no Audit is the same so we provide a free initial consultation to discuss your needs and identify the best approach to your circumstances. However, what is consistent is that CAAS brings over 40 years of experience within the Utility Auditing Industry to bear on your business utility expenditure.

Reasons to Conduct a Utility Audit:

  • Reduce your utility expenses (average 36%).

  • Obtain refunds that are due to your company.

  • Many of today's bills contain errors or less than optimal pricing options.

  • Businesses are not just looking for streamlined business processes and communication channels, but cost-effective solutions as well.

    Our Mission

It is our mission to help businesses realise cost savings by reviewing and analysing a customer's utility spend to provide alternative solutions that will result in immediate savings and or refunds and improved services.

The Process

CAAS services follow the following process:

  • Work is done off-site.

  • Utility accounts are analysed.

  • A Report is prepared and presented to the client.

  • The contents of the report are discussed with the client.

  • Recommendations are implemented on behalf of the client.

  • Recommendations / Changes reflect on invoices.

  • CAAS will then invoice client for share in on-going saving / refund as agreed upon.

  • On-going reports will be delivered as agreed between the two parties.

Definition: Billing Discrepancies - Refund from Service Provider

Should a billing discrepancy (refund opportunity) be identified in favour of the customer, it will be recovered from the Service Provider on behalf of the customer. Claims can be made for up to 36 months in accordance with the Prescription act.

Naturally, should a billing discrepancy be in favour of the service provider, i.e. an undercharge, the customer and not the service provider, will be advised.

Definition: Cost reduction opportunities

All identified cost reduction opportunities are included in our Report. Once discussed and approved, CAAS will provide assistance with the implementation of the proposed solutions with the service provider on behalf of the client.

If no cost reduction or no billing discrepancies are identified, there will be no charge to the customer and we will cover our own costs.

Our Remuneration

All work is done at risk and as such, CAAS only derive an income if we reduce your expenditure. This means that the service is self-funding.

Refunds:

  • Refunds shall be the value of the credit passed or payment made to the Client subsequent to an intervention by CAAS and the client will only be invoiced once the refund has been passed by the service provider.

Saving:

  • Savings shall be the difference between the amount that would have been paid to a supplier prior to the introduction of CAAS and the amount paid subsequent to the implementation of a CAAS recommendation and the client will only be invoiced our share of the cost saving and once the change reflects on the Client's utility account.

CAAS carries the full risk in identifying, confirming and recovering overcharges and savings from the supplier of your utility services and will monitor your monthly Utility accounts to make sure the savings continue to be derived.

We look forward to addressing your utility expenses so please contact Marie-Louise Kotzé should you be interested in the above service.
